Falling into Fall

The saying around here is "when the fireweed blossoms turn to cotton, summer days will soon be forgotten." Well snow is already falling in Anchorage and up on the tops of the mountains on Kodiak. Its in the 40's now on a regular basis... I would say summer is just about over.

I love this time of year!!
We are really beginning to feel at home here in Alaska but this time of year is always a little hard to be away from our friends and family in Massachusetts, Texas, Oklahoma, California, North Carolina and Oregon too!
